American Horror Story and Glee creator Ryan Murphy is to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The honourees were officially announced on Thursday (June 22) and the EMMY award winning screenwriter was amongst the list of stars announced set to receive the prestigious honour.
It was also recently announced that Murphy’s EMMY-award winning crime series ‘American Crime Story’ will continue with The Assassination of Gianni Versace’, following the hugely successful first season ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson.’, and displacing and pushing back the planned Katrina season to 2018.
RuPaul is another gay honouree to be announced to be honoured with a star on Walk of Fame.
Other stars who will also be honoured with a star on the Walk of Fame include: Wonder Woman icon Lynda Carter, Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda, actresses Kirsten Dunst, Gina Lollobrigida, Niecy Nash and Taraji P Henson and musical performers Mary J Blige, Petula Clark, Weird Al Yankovic, and Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols.
Completing the list are music mogul Simon Cowell and Minnie Mouse, with posthumous stars going to Steve Irwin and Bernie Mac.
