No additional details have been revealed about Dunham’s role in the show as the new season is surrounded by mystery, in true American Horror Story fashion, with little to no details being known about the currently untitled season.
However show creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that the season will reference the 2016 presidential election, and he recently took to Twitter to share cryptic clues in the lead up to the title of the show finally being revealed.
Lena will be joining newcomer Billie Lourd, who has previously worked with Murphy on “Scream Queens,” in addition to joining American Horror Story veterans Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson for the highly anticipated seventh outing in the FX horror-anthology series.
The new season is also being filmed in the same neighbourhood (and the exact same house) that John Carpenter filmed his original 1978 cult-classic “Halloween.”
The show doesn’t have an official release date as of yet but it set to air later this year around Halloween season.
