The Legacy of Lady Gaga & Little Monsters: @MisterBroRo

Monsters come from all over the world and they’re truly a force to be reckoned with as a fanbase with their love and dedication to their queen, Lady Gaga. We over here at The Pop Bible were fortunate enough to talk to a veteran Little Monster who goes by the handle of @MisterBroRo on Twitter, Ro is on one of Europe’s finest fans who meticulously dedicates his time to update thousands of people across the globe on all things G-A-G-A. Mother Monster herself has recognised his presence and devotion online an impressive 36 times as he executes and curates the most up-to-date facts and figures regarding the queen of pop herself.

When we caught up with Ro we asked him a series of questions that will give you a peak behind the curtain (or the burqa) as Ro talks about his love and appreciation for Gaga, being a Little Monster, the Joanne World Tour and more!

“This will be the first time I see her on tour so I’m not only excited to see her perform her classics and hits but also ‘Joanne’ in its entirety and personally, I’m also rooting for the good sis to perform a few songs from ‘ARTPOP’ which is definitely one my most favourite records in the whole wide world.”

ga Joanne World Tour @MisterBroRo

He’s a special little monster who does good within the Little Monster fan-base and community and this is why we couldn’t wait to talk to Ro,  because honestly the Little Monster fan base would not be the same without him. We love you Ro, thank you for all you do.

When and where did you first discover Lady Gaga?

I first discovered Lady Gaga in 2008 when I was just 11 years old, switching through all the channels on my TV and stopping on Viva, the biggest music TV channel in my country who happened to play the video for her very first music video ‘Just Dance’ in that particular moment.

When did you become a Little Monster?

I started showing interest in her persona, style and music in 2008 but it wasn’t until 2009 when I somehow fell in love with the woman who, throughout the years, has impacted my life more than I could have ever imagined back in the day.

What is your all time favourite song and video from Lady Gaga and why?

My favourite Lady Gaga single and video would have to be ‘Do What U Want’ which is ironic, considering the (scrapped) music video could probably be seen as her most controversial one to date. But I truly believe that the song and video have a very strong and deep, personal meaning behind it if you not only focus on the sexual parts. The song’s meaning is even more sad when one thinks about the way the media has mistreated her in 2013/14 which can also be seen in the emotional and also, incredible live performance at the American Music Awards 2013.

What has been your best memory of being a Lady Gaga fan so far?

Probably when I was kid and I sneaked to my local CD shop in the mall every single day for weeks or even months just to listen to her debut album ‘The Fame’ and the hot Summer day in July of 2009 when I finally bought the CD instead of just listening to it in the record store. The first CD I ever bought by and for myself.

What songs are you excited to see Gaga perform at The Joanne World Tour?

This will be the first time I see her on tour so I’m not only excited to see her perform her classics and hits but also ‘Joanne’ in its entirety and personally, I’m also rooting for the good sis to perform a few songs from ‘ARTPOP’ which is definitely one my most favourite records in the whole wide world.

What do you love the most about The Joanne World Tour?

The thing I love the most about the Joanne World Tour is that it’s, as Gaga told us in before, all about lights. The stage is extremely creative and innovate and the lights and visuals in general are, dare I say, truly her best yet. Every single thing from the pyrotechnics and lights during ‘John Wayne’ to the laser beams her piano shoots out with every single key stroke she plays with her piano is excellent from the start to the finish. The interludes are definitely her most interesting ones to date and probably my favourite, Rhino Gaga or the interlude where she literally inhales all the adrenalin she feels on stage are so creatively edited that they just leave me speechless every single time.

Other than Gaga, what other artists inspire you?

Michael Jackson and his music and overall journey are definitely one of the top inspiring pop cultural things in my life.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love spending quality time with my friends and family, listening to music (24/7…) and educating myself on a daily basis.

What is your all time favourite song from Lady Gaga?

A year ago I would’ve probably said ‘Do What U Want’ but now, definitely ‘Million Reasons’. The song, it’s lyrics and meaning speak to me on such a deep, personal and emotional level. Unlike anything she’s ever released before.

What other artists are you a fan of?

Lana Del Rey is definitely on the top of the list right after Gaga, the first concert I’ve ever been to was her Paradise Tour in 2013. Other than that I listen to anything from Michael to Bowie and Madonna, from Bey to Rih and Katy (yes) and I also LOVE The Pretty Reckless with Taylor Momsen, one of the most talented women in music right now.

What does being a Little Monster mean to you?

Being true to myself, no matter what.

How has Lady Gaga changed your life?

She’s constantly inspiring me to be the best version of myself every single day of my life and also lead with kindness, love, compassion and empathy no matter where I am or what I’m going through. In the end of the day I really learned that kindness is the one true thing that we all appreciate in one another and that (here it is again) kindness, compassion, respect, love and empathy will always come first. Together we can change the world, unity is the key. Let me stop now before I become more cringe-worthy!
