Cardi B. has took the world by storm with her breakthrough hit “Bodak Yellow” and the American rapper has revealed she is back with new music, and a new debut album next month.

“I have an album coming. It will be dropping in October. I’m an October baby,” Cardi B., who turns 25 on Oct. 11, said in a recent interview. “I’m a little nervous to put the project out, but I think it’s going to be pretty good.”

Cardi said she is excited but nervous about the album release due to “a lot of pressure on her” to match the success of “Bodak Yellow”, which has took the streaming world by storm becoming one of the most streamed songs of the year.

In addition to becoming the No.1 song on Rap and R&B charts and topping the Billboard hot 100 chart, in which it currently sits at No. 3, just under Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” and “Despacito”

“Everybody’s waiting to see what I’m going to have next and it’s like, ‘…I hope people love it. But I have confidence. I really do.”

Cardi B first appeared on our screens on the VH1 reality show “Love & Hip Hop” before the release and success of “Bodak Yellow”. The song has catapulted the rapper into the spotlight, and has wracked up over 1 million likes on YouTube.

“It feels amazing and it’s overwhelming. It’s like, it fills me up with lot of happiness and a lot of joy,” Cardi said. “It’s just like unbelievable. I’ve been through so many things and I worked so hard for me to be here, and it’s like I’m finally here getting what I wanted, getting the respect from other artists and from everybody.”

One of those artists just happens to be Beyoncé!

“I’m surprised Beyoncé liked me. I met Beyoncé! It’s like, ‘Oh my God!’ That’s how it feels like. I can’t talk, I can’t breathe,” she added.

Cardi B went on to reveal that she would like to collaborate with her “idols”: Lil Kim, Trina and Remy Ma.
